GCI Media Influence

Media consumption has never been more varied. The birth of the digital age has brought about new devices to access information, as well as new channels to communicate. As a result, traditional media has been forced to evolve. Staff reporters are developing their own followings and digital platforms can have larger reach than print channels. These changes create new challenges, as well as new opportunities.

Capitalizing on the evolving media landscape has become a specialty at GCI, where we strategically advise clients on the best way to maximize their share of voice. Rather than swimming upstream against the inevitable market changes, GCI has transformed alongside them. Considering all forms of media channels, blending paid and earned media, and keeping client goals top of mind is what is built into everything we do. This critical thinking paired with a drive to surpass expectations is how our influence turns organizations into industry leaders.

GCI has always prided itself on its media expertise. Now, we are taking it a step further to form a new initiative – GCI Media Influence (GCIMI).

GCIMI is focused on staying ahead of emerging media trends, differentiating opportunities from media fatigue and developing key relationships.

To kick-start GCIMI, we hosted our first-ever “Talks with…” session with leading tech journalist, media personality and expert, Marc Saltzman. Marc came into the GCI offices to discuss his many ongoing broadcast appearances, the new media landscape, and of course, PR tips and tricks for successful pitching.
