For SVP Lindsay Williams, GCI is about a “smart, nimble team”

For Lindsay Williams—a Senior Vice President at GCI Canada who works across our Consumer and Health & Wellness clients—working at GCI is a return to roots. “I’ve always been in agencies,” says Lindsay, starting at a boutique PR firm and moving through various companies touching a range of client sectors. This is Lindsay’s second lap with GCI Canada. She led communications at Canada Health Infoway, a public sector agency, prior to rejoining the firm. She is excited to be back in her natural habitat.

“Agency energy lets you thrive,” she says. “You are constantly generating new thoughts and ideas. There are always fresh projects and opportunities to achieve big things here.” It is that very energy for the best ideas—and the execution which delivers them—that Lindsay exercises every day leading teams of high-performing communications consultants achieving results for our clients.

The emphasis on teams is key, she adds. “Many times, you are working in new and ambiguous situations,” says Lindsay, “and you have to trust your team to figure it out together.” She encourages adaptability and resourcefulness into those around her, always seeking a skeptical voice or a devil’s advocate to test ideas and bring forth the best way forward.

Lindsay offers a depth and breadth of award-winning experience in the consumer health, technology and product sectors—a well-honed expert in communications. She is a master at building strong client relationships that lead to excellent work and top-notch results, a muscle she’s exercised for clients at both a national and global level. She offers exceptional strategic counsel and program development alongside a career’s worth of organizational and project management skills.
