We’re growing! Meet Fiona and Larissa

Here at GCI Canada, we’re overflowing with ideas. In fact, we’ve got too many ideas and not enough idea architects! So, we’re growing. We’ve brought on two new, enormously talented young idea architects and we’re excited to welcome them. Meet Fiona and Larissa:

Fiona Pswarayi
Account Coordinator

Born in Zimbabwe, raised in England, and now a proud Canadian speaking English, Shona, and a bit of rusty German, Fiona has a passion for communications no matter the language. The former lifestyle blogger turned PR specialist was the Canadian Public Relation Society’s Toronto Student of the Year in 2018. She brings love for and experience in the consumer and health spaces—including posts at Pfizer, Metro, and CPRS—and prides herself in her planning, logistics and event execution skills. In fact, two of her proudest career moments were organizing a 3-day store manager’s conference for 300+ attendees and a 3-day national sales meeting in Muskoka for 100+ attendees.

What inspires you?
I’ve been lucky enough to work alongside some amazing women in the Canadian PR/communications industry over the past four years. Every single one of them inspires me in one way or another.

What’s the most interesting thing about you that we wouldn’t read on a resume?
My graduating thesis was titled, “The Efficacy of Influencer Marketing in the Pharmaceutical Industry.” Everyone thought I was crazy for picking something so specific in such a heavily regulated industry, but I loved every moment.

Larissa Pencak
Account Coordinator

Ask Larissa what she does for a living, and she’ll say she tells stories. And whether it’s through blogger/media relations, developing creative content calendars, overseeing social media accounts for clients like Astellas Pharma, Essie and POM Wonderful, planning events, or numerous other projects, Larissa has been supporting storytelling since she graduated with her PR certificate from Humber. Since leaving Humber she has worked on beauty, fashion, beverage, consumer, and healthcare, with an instinct for creativity and an eye for every detail.
